Oswalt ponders a knuckleball

Featured Replies

Saying he needs to start making concssions to age, Roy Oswalt said he could mix in a knuckleball this year.

"I threw it in college," the 30-year-old Oswalt said. "Then I quit when I was drafted. I just picked it up when I was in college." It seems doubtful that Oswalt will really begin using the knuckler in regular-season games, but who knows? He clearly does realize that his fastball isn't quite as good as it once was.
