Brad Hand, a lefthanded pitcher from Chaska High School, will take a physical on Monday and then start his professional baseball career with the Florida Marlins' Gulf Coast League rookie team. He is flying to Jupiter, Fla., today. Hand was taken in the second round (No. 52 overall) in this month's draft. He was a third-round draft choice and received a bonus package of close to $500,000 to turn down a scholarship to Arizona."I'm excited," said Olmos, who will leave Wednesday for Jupiter, Fla. The 6-foot-4 Olmos is the son of two parents who came to America from Mexico with little education but through hard work and dedication have raised a family.
