October 28, 200322 yr the Marlins were one of the teams Selig wanted to contract. This is the second straight year one of the teams on the contraction list won the world series. Also, 3 of the 8 playoff teams were on the list, and last year Another reason why I'm glad you guys won.
October 28, 200322 yr I don't think the Angels were a target for contraction. The two most prominently mentioned teams were Twins and Expos.

October 28, 200322 yr The Marlins were second deep on the contraction list for the NL. I believe the Angels were 2nd or 3rd deep on the list for the AL.
