My own Handmade Marlins Artwork

Featured Replies

Hey all...just wanted to put this out there and get a feel for this...

I've been an artist all my life...I'm currently an art teacher and I have a bachelor's degree after many years of art schools...I've done many works for friends and family, I've done wall murals for the school I work at, and there's even a few tattoos out there designed by me. I have my job and all but as of late I've had the itch to start creating plenty of art...with the purpose of selling it. People close to me have always told me that I've been blessed with a gift and it's time for me to put it to use. So as of late I've been gathering ideas and materials to start creating more art in my free time...and one glaring idea is to put my love of the Marlins (and baseball as a whole) towards my love of art.

So I'm already getting ideas to start creating handmade Marlins artwork...mostly detailed pencil drawings (cause thats what I do best)...but also including a few paintings and some work with colored inks...

Now the next question is the challenge of selling my work...and that's why I came on here...

I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in buying some of my work...

I don't have anything yet and it will likely take me a few weeks to build up a good enough body of work...but I wanted to get a feel if anyone on here would be interested...

With you guys, I'd start with Marlin related work...portraits, action shots, collages, black and white, color, whatever, even abstract designs...but my talents would really allow me to do any kind of requests...and it really wouldn't have to be Marlin related at all...

If you bought my work, I'd get it to you neatly framed and well packaged, ready to hang on your walls...

So basically, I'm an artist getting back into my groove and I'm ready to sell some Marlin related work...I'm in the early stages of this but I wanted to let you all in on it...anyone interested?

Thanks a lot guys...let's see if I can get this off the ground...

....actually, just forgot! I do have three samples of Marlins artwork that I've done...

this is a small sample of my work with colored inks...this is just the Marlins logo, there's no creativity in it as this was when I started using the colored inks and I was literally just testing my new ink so I drew the simple logo as a test...but it shows you the bright colors that come with this type of art...

here's a pencil drawing of Dontrelle in a 2005 start against the Cubs at Wrigley...

and here's an unfinished pencil drawing of Miggy and Hammer bumping forearms in a 2007 game against the Mets...

Thanks guys...any support is greatly appreciated!
