Seeing through Obamanomics

No, there is plenty of blame to go around. Both parties have to bear some of the blame, the Bush administration does, too, wall street, the lenders, the borrowers. There is not one overriding factor here.

But, I think we just need a fundamental change in the way we do business. Ethics reform has to be real. Transparency in all facets of American life is key. McCain will not bring those things, IMO. Obama may or may not, but he's probably the best equipped to do so. He's had over 2 million contributors, most of whom are small donors. He hasn't been around that long, so he doesn't have many favors to return.

You can't say that Bush shouldn't share ANY blame. That's absurd. I know that Clinton would be getting hammered a lot harder than Bush if this happened in say, 1998 instead of 2008. He's mostly being ignored now because he became irrelevant years ago, and we're about a month from selecting a new president who will have to deal with this mess for some time.

no problems is Clinton doesn't open the sub prime market and no problem if Bush doesnt support and exacerbate the SIV trading. No Maturity securities, but promoting trading securities.

None of that would have prevented the crisis. We need to tear apart the institution entirely. It was flawed from the start.

Catastrophes bring about serious change. You may get to test out your theories after all.
