Posted October 13, 200915 yr I put together a small ROI to see which teams had the most return based on salary, regular season success, and playoff success. It obviously still has time to move, but as of LCS's this is how all 30 teams rank as far as ROI. 1. Los Angeles Dodgers; .9488 2. Colorado Rockies; .8824 2. Minnesota Twins; .8824 2. Los Angeles Angels; .8824 5. Philadelphia Phillies; .8657 6. Florida Marlins; .8491 7. New York Yankees; .8158 8. St. Louis Cardinals; .7658 9. Texas Rangers; .6992 10. Tampa Bay Rays; .6493 10. Oakland A's; .6493 10. San Diego Padres; .6493 13. Boston Red Sox; .6326 14. San Francisco Giants; .6160 15. Pittsburgh Pirates; .5494 16. Atlanta Braves; .5322 17. Milwaukee Brewers; .5161 18. Cincinnati Reds; .4994 18. Toronto Blue Jays; .4994 18. Baltimore Orioles; .4994 21. Cleveland Indians; .4828 22. Washington Nationals; .4495 23. Seattle Mariners; .4162 23. Arizona Diamondbacks; .4162 25. Detroit Tigers; .3995 25. Chicago White Sox; .3995 27. Kansas City Royals; .3496 28. Chicago Cubs; .3163 29. Houston Astros; .2996 30. New York Mets; .1664
October 13, 200915 yr No suprises with the likes of the Mets, Astros and Cubs at the bottom but I would of thought Detroit would be higher up the table considering they were just 1 win away from securing a playoff berth.
October 13, 200915 yr Author Detroit was hurt because of their high payroll. If they did make the playoff they would of moved into the #14-15 spot depending on how a few other things would of changed.
