Posted January 2, 201015 yr here is a video to prove it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-0U3wzyB-4 Kobe: 1. Pushed Off 2. Traveled 3. Was Out of Bounds it's like 2002 playoffs all over again. the refs just won't get off their knees for the lakers i also blame sergio rodriguez. he fell over like a train had ran him over. i hope he sprained his vag on that play
January 2, 201015 yr 1. It looked like the defender did a little bit of acting there. Kobe just seemed to run into him instead of pushing off. 2. They never/rarely call that traveling, even if it is. They especially don't call it in the final seconds though. 3. I couldn't tell if he actually did step out, but it looked like the back of his foot may have been on the line. I'm surprised they didn't at least review that.

Kobe just seemed to run into him instead of pushing off. i know it looked like he was flopping. that's what i thought too, but that was possibly the worst flop i've ever seen. either way though, kobe has to be either called for a pushoff or a moving pick. a ref can't just ignore something that happens in front of him just because it's kobe or lebron or wade committing the foul. star treatment by the refs is what is resulting in the downfall of the nba and the fans are getting annoyed by it. for the most part the nfl and mlb don't have this issue when it comes to officiating.
January 2, 201015 yr Honestly... I think this topic is quite unnecessary. If we complain everytime we dont like a call and create a thread for it... especially with something completely unrelated to anyone here... we'd have a ton of useless threads. You didnt see people making topics for when Kobe "traveled" in Miami for his buzzer beater... But to analyze this... you need to be real. That was not a travel, it was a pro-hop. The out of bounds would have been an iffy call considering he is on his tippytoes. It, however, was clearly a push-off and that should have been called. It's not the refs screwing you... it's the refs getting caught in a moment of Kobe's amazingness (and I really dont like Kobe) and not wanting to admit they are wrong.
