Dr Beinfest Posted June 26, 2010 Share Posted June 26, 2010 The Ballard trade was a steal for us. A 1st round pick + Grabner who could probably score 20-30 goals for us this year. He has potential. Bernier is just a salary dump to me, but considering he's the worst player, at the very least we got a big body willing to go to the front of the net. All of that for Ballard and Oreskovich, who is probably a career AHL'er when all is said and done. I honestly hate how people are saying this. There is no such thing as a 2 million dollar salary dump with one year left on his contract! Salary dumps are Olesz's. He's a roster spot dump, and other than his sissiness Bernier is a prototypical 3rd liner statistically. Vancouver just has a solid top 6 and there was nowhere for Bernier to play. They didnt give a rats ass about his 2 million contract. Anyways, an absolutely disgusting line in my opinion would be: Dvorak-Frolik-Grabner Speeed!
