The 8-3 Terps are going to a new year's day bowl on national tv, while the 10-2 northern illinois huskies, who beat them on opening night, aren't going to a bowl at all. That's just wrong, can't the 10-2 team that beat maryland get a bid to ANY bowl?? Good Lord....that ain't right.

dude thats f***ed up. a team another team and had a better record, yet the other team gets a new years bowl bid, to bad man.

how about the fact that even if WVA wins the Big East they wont be going to a BCS game because of a tie with Pitt in the standings

Or that a win in the SEC Title game would HURT LSU in the BCS standings if they play Georgia because they beat them earlier this year, and the 2nd win in 1 year against 1 team does nothing to help you in the BCS, and by beating Georgia, it would hurt LSU's strength of schedule and take away a quality win.

Independents Navy (7-4, and Army game on the 5th) and Connecticut (9-3) are in the same situation because the major conferences have locked up every bowl for themselves.
