The datacenter where the hosting company holds their servers had a big outage today which is why this site was down basically all day. Thousands of sites on hundreds of hosting companies were effected. Things should be back to normal now though.

Ah that explains why I couldn't connect today. I was wondering if it was on my side. Does this have anything to do with broken images on the site since last night? A lot of people's avatars and button images aren't showing -- even when right clicking and choosing "Show Picture" in the browser.

How come a lot of avatars haven't been working lately?

 

 

Just a bug in the code, it'll be fixed asap. The avatars are on the server, just a matter of them being pulled incorrectly.

 

Temp fix - If you re-upload your avatar or upload a new avatar then yours will show everywhere again.

It's pretty high on the list just cause it makes the layout look off, thanks for the heads up.
