Meantime, expect rain over Cape Cod with a risk of the rain line extending up along the immediate coast of Plymouth County and a zone of flip-flop snow/mix/rain at some South Shore communities. North to northeasterly wind at 15-35mph with some gusts past 50mph along the coast. Temperatures ranging from the lower to middle 20s north and west of the city to the upper 20s in th city to the lower to middle 30s over southeastern Massachusetts except 35-40 on Cape Cod. Rough seas and some coastal flooding can be expected through the weekend. High tides around 10pm tonight and 10:30am tomorrow. A coastal flood watch is in effect. POTENTIAL TOTAL SNOWFALL: When the storm finally exits the area late tomorrow, 16-24" will be common with spot totals higher than that. Lower amounts are likely over Cape Cod with around 6" or so accumulating there tomorrow. MONDAY: Leftover clouds early followed by sunnier weather. A brisk northwesterly breeze. Highs 34-38.
