Because of the type of free agent Pudge was the Marlins receive no draft pick for losing him. I think they should have been talking to him all along.

Now another team can sign him and they do not lose a draft pick.I hope he goes to the Cubs.

    Not all bad. We got a WS championship - we dont need another draft pick now. Would be nice, but Fudge wouldnt sign the deal if we were allowed to keep him around in any fashion (that is why we werent allowed to offer him arbitration). This was Fudge's audition for the big contract - may he never get it...
