Cubs acquired 1B/OF/DH Jose Martinez from the Rays for two players to be named later. Martinez hasn't done much this season, posting a .717 OPS with a couple home runs. He's struggled against lefties this season but has historically mashed them, and obviously the Cubs are counting on him returning to his previous track record. He figures to be used in the designated hitter spot versus southpaws.
