Marlins Baseball on...

Recommended Posts

Interesting little thing fell on my doorstep this mornin'. The Marlins as you know are locked into a deal with Fox Sports Net Florida until 2011, as are the Panthers. FSN Florida is not owned by Fox, but by Cablevision's Rainbow Media, which is looking to sell all of it's Fox Sports Nets to the highest bidder after Comcast ripped the last shreads of Chicago Sports from FSN Chicago last month.

Let me answer the main question for those with DirecTV or Dish Network. If you currently can get FSN Florida, you will continue to get it as normal if the sale occurs.

For those of you with cable companies other then Comcast, if you get it now, you will continue to get it.

For those of you with cable companies that don't carry the channel, this potential sale could change that since Comcast and say...Time Warner/Bright House Networks are very friendly.

Among the Fox Sports Nets for sale are...

New England

Bay Area
