let me introduce something foreign into this board: NASCAR

 

this morning NASCAR announced they would have a 10 race "playoff" to decide the champion. they would take the top 10 and everyone else within 400 pts with 10 races to go and give them new pt totals. the winner would be decided over the last 10 races, ending in homestead. the entire field will run along with the top 10 during the chase for the championship. this is also the first yr of nextels sponsorship of nascars premier series
