January 22, 200422 yr http://www.sportsline.com/mlb/story/7024838 I don't know much about this guy, but he saved 260 games in Japan, an all time record in that country, and call him "Mr. Zero" because he's never given up an earned run in the Japan Series. I am pretty happy, he sounds like he's pretty good, and for 1 year, 1 million bucks with a 2005 option, I think we got a good deal on him. The fact that we promised him the closer's role means IMO that we are shipping Koch out of town ASAP, which may be even better news than us signing Takatsu :lol
January 22, 200422 yr I feel sorry for you. http://www.japanesebaseball.com/players/pl...sp?PlayerID=310 he gave up 21 walks and struck out only 26 Ks in 42 innings last year...that's real bad. He had a 3.91 era in 2002 and a 3.00 era in 2003. Matsui hit 50 homers in japan and look how dismal he was i america. If this guy isn't friggin' awesome, he's not going to be good at all. good luck!

Meh... this team sucks, he will fit in if he sucks. At least he won't cost us much to suck. Why do I put myself through the torture of being a White Sox fan?
January 22, 200422 yr Author you can always be a cubs fan! ha ha ha! If I had to choose between being a cubs fan and death....... I'd ask for a high powered weapon.
