February 8, 200422 yr we broke GSU's 13 game winning streak, after coming off an embarassing loss to Elon. GSU is probably the 2nd best team in the SoCon behind ETSU (who we lost to earlier in the year on a last second shot). We gotta pick it up for SoCon tourney time.
February 8, 200422 yr Author socon bball team you mean. They don't have football, and most people don't seem to be too interested in SoCon baseball (except for me).
February 8, 200422 yr Yea i know they don't have a football team. The baseball team is usually pretty good though. I keep up with their baseball team a little cuz I know Coach Gaski's two sons.
February 8, 200422 yr Author we beat em in baseball once last season. Also swept Clemson and USC (I think we only played USC once, and we played a home and home against Clemson). Clemson, USC, UNC-G (ranked at the time), and NC State (who we also beat) were all ranked.
February 8, 200422 yr damn those were some nice wins last year. I've attended a couple college baseball games. One time after an NC State-Wake Forest game I got to go in the Wake dugout clubhouse locker room area and meet some players and coaches. It was pretty cool. The CWS is always fun to watch.
February 9, 200422 yr Author I've of course attended furman baseball games. I also saw an LSU-Gator game a while back.
