Remember, Newsday did get the Brown story right (and 3 days early too), however a lot of other media outlets in NY say that it's close, but by no means done. If anything, this may be leaked by Texas/Boras (?) to get Boston to come back with something bigger and block the deal. Additionally, I have a hard time believing that Selig would approve the trade considering it pushes the Yankees well over $200 million, which seriously affects "competitive balance"
