February 17, 200422 yr All I have to say is... WOW! No their not getting back together but as some of you have noticed that Billy has changed(in a positive way) since his departure, it's no more about gloom and this was huge. Today on his website he gave THE REAL reason for their breakup, ripping into James for breaking the band up and what is to come from him. This was a really emotional message and I consider Billy sincere enough where this is true. A MUST read for any Pumpkin fan or someone who is aware of them. It's the message that comes up when you visit the site. www.billycorgan.com
February 17, 200422 yr wow, he really laid it out there didn't he? I never like Iha much anyway. Put the band back together and get Slash to play lead!!
February 17, 200422 yr Author IHa always seemed that he was too cool for the band and even though he's with Perfect Circle now, I hardly consider that an accomplishment as he never recorded anything with them plus APC is just a tool side project. That would be awesome to see Slash up there which if they wanted to seems possible now that The Velvet Revolver project he was working on is being derailed by Scott Weiland's heroin problems. I was just shocked when I read this and immediatly called my brother. Even with it being on Billy's site, I really don't question it for a second.
February 17, 200422 yr Corgan has no need to screw around with his fans, i'm sure its 100% sincere. The dude is an emotional person who is starting too see more in life than just whats in front of his face. The Pumpkins legacy is obviously important to him and he just wants to give his fans the truth.
