Great managing by the Don. Pablo looks much better, no worries

Why isn’t Quintana taken seriously?
Good question. In general, if a prospect is a bit older or can’t hit for power or play one position exceptionally well then they get left out of consideration. Quintana seems to combine all of these. Harold Ramirez and maybe even La tortuga are in a similar mold. Me personally Id rather have a true hitter that can reach 290 than a power guy that hits 220 with 30 plus home runs. I seem to be in the minority on this matter.

A cheap ownership group will never spend big with these maybes….they want to wait to last minute and feel we aren’t there yet

Ownership is extremely cheap. It is clear the directive was to see if any coveted players were willing to take below market contracts. People laughed at Kim for her comments on getting bullpen help last but that often happens. You can get cheap bullpen help at the end of free agency. so the goal was always to be cheap. having said that there is something most of you are forgetting. We are not that close. There are too many ifs on this team: anderson and cooper and sixto (health) maybe Sanchez can break through or maybe jazz can cut down on strikeouts or maybe…

So since we established you guys can’t throw vegetables to Asia…. Let me go on record saying I hope we sign Albert Almora. I know he can’t hit but he plays awesome defense and, most importantly, he is my cousin.😊

Don’t throw you rotten vegetables at me but…. I am actually ok with other no big moves. Wait for something good (and dynamic offensively) to come along.

I am guessing both Taiwanmarlin and myself are from the future (i.e, Asia). So sleep already checked.

Thanks. I agree sandy needs to stay. He has the build of a guy that can stay healthy. He doesn’t need to max out to reach 97mph but, imo, we shouldn’t trade the others either unless we can get awesome talent. We should keep pitching depth and use free agency to get hitters

I wonder how creative we are going to be with this great starting pitching. Meyer, sixto And/or Cabrera to the bullpen? 6 man rotation? I just hope they don’t trade sandy, Pablo or Hernandez. I think this depth is useful and our competitive advantage to other teams
