The Florida Marlins have to go up to the Florida Senate for their final vote to get a tax rebate for their new stadium. Without this tax rebate the Marlins may no longer exist in South Florida since Dolphins Stadium has refused to re-sign the Marlins lease after 2010. This means after 2010 the Marlins will no longer have a venue to play in if this new stadium is not built. A bunch of fans are gathering across the street from the Marlins store on SW 37th Ave. and 8th Street to show how they support the stadium and they want their senators to support it too. They will be there on Friday from 10 - 11 am. Go by and show your support! Next week the Florida Senate will be voting on this. Please call your local senators and let them know you are a citizen of Miami-Dade County and are in favor of a new stadium. Make your voice heard.
