  1. So is the idea of liberals being unpatriotic. But yet the right wing will have you believe that on a daily basis. The conservatives have forgotten many of the founding principles of this nation anyway in recent history, which leads you to believe that liberals have a better understanding of what the founding fathers intended for the future of this nation recently. Both parties throw mud at each other all the time. The Republicans are in power, so they claim that the Democrats are unpatriotic. The Democrats are out of power, so they say that the Republicans are eroding democracy. But then again, you're obviously very set in your propaganda, so this isn't worth it anyways. And I am sure you are set in your own propaganda as well.

  3. That was a different kind of liberal, Miss Torch. Thanks for playing though. You're right. All the libeal idealogy is a total 180 from those same ideals seen in the late 18th century. The 'liberal' that Washington was speaking of was in fact the liberal ideology, of which the country is founded on. This most commonly referred to as classical liberalism, which is today followed most closely by the Liberitarian party. Not to be confused with modern liberalism, which emerged later on (people debate whether it arouse with the rise of socialism in the 1800s or not, but it was first seen in the US in 1932 when FDR was elected). In fact, when Washington was alive, the two parties were neither liberal nor conservative. They were Democractic Republicans (not to be confused with Democrats, that was Jackson) and Federalists (later to be replaced by Whigs). Thanks for the history lesson. The ideals and thoughts behind which Washington spoke and other great people of that era are definitely parts of the foundation of liberalism today. Way to totally miss the point.

  5. No one cares about what the French say. What does this have to do with the French?
  6. that Liberals hate America, Then you have been drinking too much of the right wing kool aid. Without liberals in this nation, we never become a nation in the first place. Thank God for liberals in this nation who liberated us from the British.
  7. No, they don't. Might want to look up the laws on political leaders. He is a terrorist. If Osama Bin Ladin ran for political office in Afghanistan and won, would that change our approach? Absolutely not. So is George W Bush. Yet he would still get his worthy trial if ever captured.
