  1. It is worth noting that material should not be the entirety of the weight of the comedy because they certainly do have writers. However, as an aside I do find his show repetitive and tiring. Interviews with yourself? Yup, really funny, Steve. Not that I think Admin the Cable Guy is a benchmark of comedic genius either, but at least his presentation (ignoring the content) is entertaining. Colbert, however, reminds me of a bad stage actor. He over-annunciates every single word and it comes off sounding unnatural. For me alone that makes him un-watchable. Instead of making the primary objective satirizing other shows, why not make something original? The joke certainly dries up quickly. It's very challenging presenting new material every night, but he does it. There aren't many other comedians who do it as well as Colbert and his crew. And yes, the main premise is the same, but he uses it effectively to spin new news every week. To each his own, I s'pose. But you really shouldn't insult somebody because they have different tastes than you.
  2. I pity anyone who thinks that man is funny. Ok. Care to explain this, or are you just saying things because it's fun to type? Was about to ask you the same question. :thumbup I find him funny. And I asked first. I mean, how the hell do you pity someone for finding someone funny? It's not a physical handicap, or anything. It's a personal choice. Thats stupid. Plus, it's not like it's some sort of low-brow comedy. I might understand the statement if the comedian in question was, say, Admin the Cable Guy. But a lot of very intelligent people enjoy Colbert's work.
  3. Colbert is a great comedian. I don't really see how anyone couldn't find him funny, but oh well.
  4. Subsidizing a stadium is a terrible economic move. But damn do I want the Marlins to stay.
