    Why must they go prequel route with this? The Star Trek Universe is a predominantly linear one save for Enterprise (which was not very good IMO), why go backwards? Because prequels are "in" for some reason. I guess thanks to Star Wars. I say, take Animatrix and go with that as a prequel, sans the anime.
