March 24, 200422 yr Thats what someone said in todays game thread. Do you have to buy the DirecTV sports package to get the game or the MLB Extra Innings? I thought that they allowed the telecasting of preseason games without thinking of blackouts.

I thought that they allowed the telecasting of preseason games without thinking of blackouts. First, thanks for the tip!! :thumbup MLB Extra Innings is for the regular season. It seems like it changes year to year but I've been getting ST games, this year, on the various Sports Packages. Hopefully that will be the case tonight. FSMW ch. 647. To answer your question...yes, you have to have the sports package...and even then I can't guarantee that it won't be a "blackout". :thumbdown
March 25, 200422 yr Once FSN Florida starts airing games, you do not need the sports package if you live in the state of Florida. DirecTV gives you FSN Florida and Sunshine if you live in Florida and FSN shows a lot of Marlin games. One year I got the sports package and it wouldn't let me watch games on any other channel other than FSN because of blackout. I cancelled it and have just been watching of FSN ever since.
March 25, 200422 yr Aww man! As a philologist, I cant deal when Latin is mispelled. It is Veni Vidi Vici...I came, I saw, I conquered - Caesar. Of course, the dirty joke of that is Vidi, Vici, Veni...you figure it out. There are kids here.
