MINOR LEAGUE STATS

Featured Replies

So far this year here are our leaders in the minors.

AAA

1B-Admin Sutton .410, 2, 9

SS-Wilson Valdez- .348, 1, 6 4 SB

C- Ryan Jorgeson .429, 1, 2

RP- Franklyn Gracequi (0-0) 0.00 6.1 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 3 BB, 7 K

RP- Toby Borland (2-0) 1 SV 0.00 6.1 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 5 K

Notes: Wilson Valdez is looking very impressive so far. Keep an eye on him as the season goes on. He is the best middle INF prospect in our system. Ryan Jorgeson has only 7 ABs so far but he is an above average prospect- we aquired him in the Willis trade from the Cubs. Franklyn Gracequi should defiently get called up this season. He's a lefty who struck out 75 in 57 IP last year at AA.

AA

3B- Joe Dillon .484, 4, 11

OF- Eric Reed .390, 2, 5 4 SB

1B- Jason Stokes .313, 2, 11

C/1B- Josh Willingham .259, 3, 5

SP- Pat Bauer (1-0) 0.00 10.2 IP, 6 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 7 K

SP- Trevor Hutchinson (2-0) 1.64 11 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 8 K

Notes: Dillon has been a huge surprise so far. Eric Reed is a pure speedster (a la Pierre) who is trying to develop his hitting. He plays big time defense as well. Jason Stokes has regained his stroke again and his back on the right track but he still needs to make better contact ( 32 ABs, 11 Ks). Willingham has a ton of power and is getting older so he needs to get to the majors soon. Hutchinson had an awesome year last year and has picked it up right where he left off.

A

C- Eliezer Alfonzo .333, 4, 13

INF- Matt Demarco .464, 1, 5

OF- Travis Ezi .297, 1, 5 2 SB

OF- Jeremy Hermida .286, 0, 5 2 SB

Notes: Alfonso has been a surprise. Ezi is another speed OF we got in the Juan Encarncion trade with the Dodgers. Hermida might be regarded as the Marlins best prospect along with Stokes and Jeff Allison.

good work....dillon is a career minor leaguer though and only provides depth if both Lowell and Cabrera go down.
