May 7, 200422 yr God-awful Smackdown tonight. Just terrible....I couldn't watch the opening "heart attack" angle, and the announcers calling it a "tragedy" is a slap in the face of real tragedies....Cena's rap was all-right, but him pandering to the crowd is SO un-cool....Booker T. and a fortune teller. What else can I say? Personally, I was hoping Papa Shango showed up....So let me get this straight- they have all this c'weight talent, and they put the title on JACQUELINE?! Someone who hasn't been on TV for HOW MANY months? I don't get it. I'm not necessarily against a woman winning the c'weight belt, but Jacqueline has to be the least-over woman on the roster (except in Texas).... The 'Taker squash was what it was, and nothing more. Not a fan of him using a submission as a finisher....A hand out of the grave? Come on.....Dawn Marie still wrestles? Well, I guess tonight at least. Just a backdrop to advance the Dupree/Cena feud, which they could've done in the opening match....I thought Bradshaw was on Fox News, not CNBC?....Decent main event, but that's all. What is it now, 3 weeks in a row the Dudz have been in the main event? Yikes....
May 11, 200422 yr I didnt watch SD last week but saw the "heart attack" video tonight awful just flat out dumb
May 11, 200422 yr I thought Bradshaw was on Fox News, not CNBC? He signed a contract with CNBC last week. :thumbup Anyway, I didn't have a problem with the opening segment. I thought I was going to when I heard about it, but I didn't. Eddie shaking and shivering in that "interview" later was stupid though. Smackdown isn't exactly stellar right now, but I've enjoyed Bradshaw-Eddie (Bradshaw's racist as hell, but it's not like he's the face) and I've enjoyed Booker-Taker (despite those stupid skits this week). I have a feeling my Booker-Taker enjoyment will end Sunday when Taker squashes him though, I shall hold out that faint glimmer of hope that Booker wins and goes on to meet Eddie at the Bash. Jacqueline stuff is stupid as hell, but Chavo will just win it back on Sunday anyway. I hate the Dudleys. I'm starting to like Dupree. His stuff with Cena has been fun. They'll put Dawn Marie (who I hate) with him and ruin him soon though. Best summary of Smackdown right now: They're having their first pay-per-view since Mania on Sunday, meaning they've had 2 months, and they have all of THREE matches booked for it (Jacqueline-Chavo will make 4). A pay-per-view carried by Bradshaw with no card...this one's sure going to draw.
