June 1, 200323 yr I see Mike Berardino is stiring it up. First off the Marlins "HAVE NOT" offered nobody to anybody. The Cubs just won't stop calling(what I've heard). The Cubs are offering LHP Justin Jones(low A) (another Dontrelle Willis?), RHP Francis Beltran or RHP Juan Cruz and 2B Bobby Hill. IMO the Marlins are holding out for OF Felix Pie( Vlad clone?). Mike might be right, but to do it now is just not right. I think they(sun-sentinal) are upset the Herald got the jump on them in the Torborg firing and are put this out there to say "we" had it first. The rumors are starting I agree, I was e-mail a rumor that LA is hot for Luis Castillo and the Red Sox/ Braves are going to court DLee. Hey I'm not saying its not going to happen but the timing is not right. I'm a fan of the team and understand the money problems of the team. As long as they competitive am alright with it. I'm a baseball fan and don't want the team to leave. The money problem I hope will be fix in the near future. :plain
