Wow Needless to say I don't think The Republicans will be getting a senate seat in Illinois this year.
June 24, 200422 yr Ryan really hurt himself with this one. From what Ive read, it isnt anything terrible, especially since it was said by her during a divorce and she supports him now. But the fact that a democrat was hit hard about a messy divorce by the press during the primaries made this bad. Whats even WORSE for him is how Republicans and their leaders are seeing him. He all but assured them that there was nothing bad in the divorce record when he got the nomination. Now they are pissed. I dont know if you are following this race but he has totally bungled it up. He sent an aid to follow Obama(the democrat) and video his every action everyday. He claimed that political leaders should have this stuff made public as a reason for having it done but it backfired badly and people just thought it was just plain crazy. This guy is done.

June 25, 200422 yr This never would have happened to the Tom Clancy Jack Ryan. He loved his wife. Always called her "babe". WHEN HE WASN'T KICKING ASS!!!!! Illinois Republicans are just plain dumb. George Ryan screwed the party for years to come. Senator Obama sounds weird. Whatever, first black guy in the Senate in 30 years.
