Miami Dolphin tight end Randy McMichael and his pregnant wife were arrested early morning Tuesday at their Weston home, both charged with domestic violence.

Randy McMichael, 25, and Cawanna McMichael, 21, got into a fight at their home at 1333 St. Tropez Circle after the football player returned from celebrating his birthday with friends. He told police he had ''a lot to drink'' and was throwing up in the downstairs bathroom when his wife confronted him.

McMichael said his wife, who is six months pregnant, hit him across the head and that he pushed her and she fell to the ground. She said she only slapped her husband's shoulder, but said he grabbed her by the arm and struck her several times.

Police noted slight swelling on her left cheek and minor abrasions on her right arm.

Cawanna McMichael was taken to the Cleveland Clinic to be checked because of her pregnancy. Both were later processed at the Broward County Jail.
