The two sides were continuing to discuss a handful of issues, including the contract's salary structure, but none of them likely would prevent the Spurs and Ginobili from reaching an agreement. "We're not done, but we are close," said Ginobili's agent, Herb Rudoy. "Manu has made it clear he wants to get it done and he wants to stay in San Antonio. ... Hopefully we will get it done (Friday) or over the weekend, but we are going to get it done." One Western Conference official said Denver, which had expressed strong interest in Ginobili, is now pursuing New Jersey free-agent forward Kenyon Martin. jludden@express-news.net
