Marlins looked good tonight

I know it is early, very early, but some good news is in order. The Marlins did look good tonight. Howard got out of a jam, Penny pitched pretty solid, and Benitez looked like a beast out there. He wanted this game against his former club. He was pumped. Plus, we scored 5 runs - and AGon is helping us 'keep it real' down in the bottom half of the lineup.

But it started with pitching. If we can keep stringing games like this together, we could start having stretches of 7-5 or 8-4. Doesnt look like much, but over the course of a month, that adds up.

This game gave me a good feeling about a win not more of a sigh of relief like the past few wins had been, the team had a good day and it all started with getting the lead early. I think this team only has one win when trailing after 6 innings.

But anyways this win felt good, and the players should feel good as well. A win tomorrow would be nice heading into the break

It was a nice win. Many areas that were struggling starting clicking tonight.

Started out with a few clutch hits. Solid pitching from Penny. Good enough performance from the middle relievers. Add-on run by Alex. Lights out Benitez.

I was particularly glad to see the big crowd (41K), and also glad the team did not disappoint. Another ugly loss could have kept many of them away...but the nice win will bring 'em back. :thumbup
