US vs. Puerto Rico

Featured Replies

starting in a couple of minutes on espn.

i feel the same way but i want to watch to see how the guys play together.

f***, lebron, Carmello and AI arent playing because they were late for a team meeting. nice way to start. :anon

yeah your right. i just heard wrong. my bad.

Wade had some nice ass passes there. The crowd is there for Wade you can tell.

26-15, Puerto Rico started out flat but made a little run to close it out.

That dunk was sick, god I love that kid.

He's been dishing some nice passes too.

But overall, it's a good game. It feels like kinda like a mini all-star type thing since it's a bunch of good NBA players together.

41-34 USA

im getting a little nervous. we're winning this game but puerto rico aint argentina or serbia or even lithuania and we're having trouble with them.

in addition it would be nice to be able to actually shoot.

well we're missing 2 great shooters in AI and Lebron and missing a good big man

i think we'll be fine

I watched the whole Qualifying Tourney last year and I can't say I'm too worried. They struggled against Brasil (losing at the half) but with Duncan they'll figure a way out to win.

i think fridays game against serbia will tell a lot about this team.

i guess im just real paranoid because i keep thinking back to 2002.

*tries to forget about 2002*

This Team does not yet know each other well enough, 10 turnovers in 20 minutes.

Exactly. They'll only get better from here, and I think they'll be fine. Sure, there are some good teams out there, but these guys are better, and hopefully want to win.

They might still have some work to do, granted they've only been together for 6 days but they're not looking bad. All these guys know how to play basketball so it'll come together by itself. That's why they have pre-games like this.

On a side note, I thought that was a good move by Admin Brown to sit the 3 late guys. Especially AI, whose a captain and should be a good example. It might just be exhibition games but they still have a job to do.

Wade has 5 assists of off the bench, turning into a true PG

I could get 5 assists with that team and that tempo :lol

I'm kidding but having Wade at PG for the summer can't hurt his experience for next season.

Ah it's ok everyone knows I'm a Wade homer

Edit: Hah the announcers are all on Wade's jock :whistle

Walton's loving him. Wade looks so poised out there. He doesn't look like he's played 1 year.

Nice alley-oop pass to 'Melo :)

This is making me even more excited for next season.

Well USA's whooping ass.

yeah i need the schedule too, i wouldnt even have caught this game if it wasn't for this thread

it's probably on the official USA olympic site thingy

all i know is they keep on announcing they're playing italy in germany on tuesday at 2

and hot damn, bill walton is complimenting wade a mile a minute!
