Anyone with Comcast Cable internet in miami?

Featured Replies

My dad is changing from regular dsl to comcast cable and i wanna know what u think about it if u live in the miami area? im only getting 1900 D/L and 212 Upload so what improvements will i see. the guy said its 2 times faster than regular dsl. thanx.

Cable is alittle faster but it'll all depend on Comcast. Right now, I have RCN cable. My speed around 2000 kbs and uploading 700kbs. But I'm going DSL for better service and it's more stable plus I already have SBC phone and Dish.

yea im reading ppl were getting up to 270 upload and that is way better than my 212 so any improvement is better. also considering its only 22 bucks for the first 6 months and only 45 after.

If you have Comcast cable TV, then I think you should switch.

yea i got comcast cable tv. does it make a difference if i have the tv cable?

i have basic cable and a 56k connection.

I have Comcast internet and Digital Cable. I'd recommend both. The internet is quick and efficient. No bad reviews for either.

Sometimes, it's cheaper if you have their package.

We have Comcast Digital Cable and Bellsouth DSL.

Because of our fiber optic connection, we get really fast speeds without having to pay for the DSL Extreme.

Funny how I can get Comcast Cable but they said that the DSL was unavailable for my area.

it's quite a bit cheaper.

i'm gonna be switching from bellsouth dsl to comcast cable modem soon....on top of saving a couple bucks with comcast, i'll also be able to finally ditch bellsouth phone service altogether and get supra.

For DSL, do you have to sign in or something like that? and one more question, my friend my told me that DSL will disconnect after a peroid of time.

1) technically there is a "sign in" process for me to connect via dsl, though on my computer the process of signing on occurs automatically in the background whenever windows starts. all that means to me is that my IP is dynamic, but i really dont mind. for all intents and purposes, my computer is always connected to the internet when it's on.

2) no, my provider (bellsouth dsl) doesn't disconnect me after any period of time.
