1. Sheffield? 758604 thank you i was about to name him. 300. career avg, 415+ HR, 1350+ RBI,2200 hits,400 OB%,527 SLG,927 OPS. 758626 Yeah, but right now, no. He's going to have to get to 500 HR's for him to have a shot. Here are mine: ARod, Jeter, Johnson, Clemens, Maddux, Rivera, Bonds, Pudge, Griffey, Sosa, Piazza, Palmeiro, Glavine (although, I'm not sure I'd vote for him if I were a voter), Alomar (yeah, he just retired), Bagwell, Biggio, and Pedro. There are a ton of guys who are playing that could be HOF's, but these guys could go to Cooperstown right now if they called it quits. The guys I'd say that "should be" there if their careers continue are: Sheffield, Hoffman, Thome, Pujols, Guerrero, Manny, Helton, Rolen, and Tejada, with a bunch of "bubble" guys floating out there... 758846 so let me get this strait. you say no to sheffield now because hes not at 500 HR. yet u name piazza, arod, pudge, alomar, biggio, jeter who also dont have 500 HR and players like alomar, biggio, jeter who have been good players their whole careers never put up power numbers and are nowhere near sheff in HR,RBI. plz stop. 758919 OF is a power position, those others are not why are you comparing Piazza and Pudge to Sheffield?.... Piazza is the greatest offensive catcher ever, and Pudge is one of the best ever Sheffield isnt an alltimer like those 2 Alomar was THE 2nd baseman of the 90s, look at his numbers and awards.. dont compare Sheffield to him 759157 regardless, their numbers are not comparable to sheffields if you count players like biggio who now plays OF and jeter. and about alomar. i didnt realize putting together 8 or 9 good years makes u a shoe in for the HOF. he has done s*** since 1999 and there are plentys of players not in the HOF with even better numbers than him in similar positions.

5. Has he ever hit an oppo homer before? 758044 yea out of his prob 150 HR career im sure hes never hit an oppo HR...... :plain
6. for people to put Mourning in the same breath as Shaq, Ewing, Olajuwan, or Robinson is laughable... 758019 mourning=ewing. suck on that.
7. Nice I hope we win :lol 757428 like OMG i want us to like so win too!
8. nope the guy, despite being a 7 time all-star (watered down due to fan voting) has only played 60+ games in 7 seasons, so there really haven't been too many seasons that he has played in more than 75% of the teams games he is a good defender & has blocked a lot shots and won DPOY twice .. but then again he was a first team defensive selection only twice he was first team all NBA once ... second team all NBA once add in the relative lack of success for his teams, i don't think he gets in 757319 well. patrick ewing is a career 21 and 10 player. comparable to zo in every way. ewing was also only a first team all nba 1 time as well as zo. ewing never made first team nba defense and never won a defensive player award. zo won 2. ewing 11 time all star. zo 7 and less years played. ewing is a guarenteed HOF so why not zo?
9. rosenfels started 1 game due to injuries to all our qbs as well. next.
10. yes hes a HOF. career 20 and 10 guy. 7 time all star. 2 time Defensive player of the year. olympic gold medalist. top 10 all time in shots blocked.

LOL. i find the fact that you think bonds will return in a week or 2 comical. the man is still limping and just had liquid removed from his knee for the second time since surgery last week. he has not done any baseball activities and all the news storys say hes still at least 2 months away.
12. Derekk Lee actually has had proven years in the leauge and cant be compared to those 2 fools. Next. 756954 Brian Roberts led the AL in doubles last year and perhaps he's borrowed some of Sheffield's arthritis cream and now he can put the balls out of the park instead of them just hitting the wall. 756958 yea let me go put some cream on my cuts to see if i can hit balls farther. ur attempt at a sheff dis was a big letdown. yea sheff used a roid cream. he didnt inject his ass to enhance his on field performance.
13. lets put it this way. ARM:Berlin > Dorsey Talent:Berlin> Dorsey Movement: Berlin> Dorsey Accuracy:Berlin=Dorsey Better UM teams:Dorsey>Berlin only reason dorsey had more success is he had better players period. and yet Berlin> dorsey in everyway and Dorsey started like 5 games last year and will be the 2nd QB in SF this year. 756957 Rattay will be the #2 QB. Also, Rattay and Dorsey were the starting QBs for a 2-14 team. It's not like it was some great accomplishment. 756961 well the fins record wasnt much better was it?? rattay wont be ready for the season after his surgery so dorsey will be the number 2.

16. Lo Duca is a top 5 catcher. Do you remember Redmond and Treanor? That made our 7, 8, 9 hitters useless. Mota is our closer. Tell who you would rather have for the money. Penny is injured. Choi wasnt exactly lighting it up last year. 756856 your arguements are irrelavent. the need for mota or loduca would not be needed because from the money we would of saved from keeping Lee instead of delgado we could of kept Pudge and Benitez last year and fill those 2 positions.
17. Im loving life in Lee land, I have him in my money fantasy league.? I hope he can continue.? Wrigley field has helped him A LOT, Dolphin Stadium was not the best place for Lee, he always hit better on the road. 756779 sorry but the stats dont back that up.before today. Lee at home this year:306 BA, 2 HR, 10 RBI,426 obp. Lee on the Road this year:487 BA,3 HR, 11 RBI,535 obp. 756792 and how many games has he played at Dolphins Stadium? Lee's a good hitter, the a lot of the hate he got on the board was not warranted, but I did support the trade to the Cubs because Choi wasn't a huge downgrade to Lee, and $8 million cheaper. (beinfest had to screw that up though) but we've got Delgado now and all that really doesn't matter. 756817 as is turns out Choi was a huge downgrade and was not 8 mill cheaper. lee only makes about 7 this year and choi made about 300k or so. rougly a 6.5 mill difference or so give or take. now you see the numbers he puts up and Lee was well worth it. we have delgado now and its all good but what did we give up? and we dished out about 20 mill more for delgado than what lee is getting. so for less than we are paying loduca and delgado you could of kept lee and gave pudge what he was asking for. things have turned out well for us either way but to say we came out on top is ridiculous.we could of made out like bandits.
18. your an idiot. he had some of the better numbers last year. he was not responsible for last year although ppl will blame him for everything. he was consistent and the s***ty D that allowed 400 f***ing yards a game is the one that constantly blew it. berlin lead comeback after comeback and single handly won 2 or 3 games. he was bad in 03 but he was great last year.

20. Sage Rosenfels >>>> Brock Berlin 756702 Brock Berlin young cheap and developement>>>>>>>>>>>sage rosenfels 1 year contract and getting older.
21. Pujols Delgado Helton Thome All are better than DLee. He'll revert to crap form soon enough. He's a Cub for crying out loud. 756718 Yeah, I don't like the Cubs either....but to say Helton and Thome are better all around 1B than Lee is just ignorant. 756724 thank you. ill take em in this order. Pujols Lee Delgado Helton Thome

Benitez to DL

This really really really sucks... But the Giants will be alright. They won 91 games last season without a closer. They'll just have to do it again until he comes back.... 756737 last year they had bonds....

Benitez to DL

Update on his status: BBTN says the injury is more serious than thought initially. he has a torn hammy and will miss 4-5 months.
