SorianoFanHFW
What the hell happened to this guy? I mean, it is bad enough a pretty good mets team is totally out of contention, and yes the yankees will win the east, but what the hell happened to mussina? His fastball is topping out at 85. he throws everything down the middle. He doesn't use his slider, change, or splitter anymore... Same thing with Vazquez. He's throwing 95 with the expos striking out 240 in a season and now he throws 88-90 with lousy location and not mixing it up with the change. I'm not crying for the yankees. It is just pathetic what a 180 million dollar team buys you when you have morons like steinbrenner, torre, stottlemyre and cashman calling the shots. Stottlemyre must be the worst pitching coach on earth. Clemens leaves and has his lowest ERAs since toronto aND Hes 55 years old. Pitchers join the yanks and lose 5 mph off his fastball. Kevin brown used to throw 95 and up to 98...he throws 87-90 now. He is doing pretty good for losing so much velocity and combating the usual back problems and parasites, but Mel can't be good. Clemens noticably throws much harder with the astros. explain that. I can't wait until torre, stottlemyre, cashman are gone. they suck. and props to tom gordon for tuning out mel stottlemyre. The batters don't know him well and you can tell this from when a team does better against him when facing him a 2nd time this season. FreshFish
very interesting. Not sure why the heck those pitchers lost 5+ mph on the radar gun.
