Listening to 560 in PPS

Featured Replies

I've been meaning to ask this for a while but just always forgot I guess, lol. Anytime i'm at at Marlins game and listening to 560 on my radio, there is ALWAYS a 10-15 second delay and it usually goes away between the 5th and 6th inning in which I then receive it in real time. It's very noticeable, for example of the organist plays something i'll hear it in person and then about 10 seconds later i'll hear it on the radio, it's also very noticeable with the crack of a bat or just the timing of a call. Yet the delay always goes away during the 5th or 6th inning which doesn't make sense.

I know it's not my radio because i've brought a couple different radios with me over the past few months and it's the same on all of them.

What gives?

1) 560 is supposed to use an 8 second delay.

2) I believe 560 has a small transmitter at PPS it runs for in stadium audio that has no or little delay.

3) Sometimes this transmitter at the stadium isn't working until someone remembers to turn it on or fix it.

4) Boog uses a bigger delay than DVH because he is a pottymouth.

I knew you would be able to answer this question :thumbup .

Is there a phone number I can call just to tell them that it's kind of annoying listening to games live with a 10 second delay? Mabye they'll remember to turn the thing-a-majig on more often.
