September 3, 200421 yr Giants acquire RHP Burba from Brewers SAN FRANCISCO (Ticker) - The San Francisco Giants added depth to their bullpen Thursday, acquiring righthander Dave Burba from the Milwaukee Brewers for lefthander Josh Habel. In 45 relief appearances with Milwaukee this season, Burba was 3-1 with two saves and a 4.08 ERA. The 38-year-old returns to the Giants after spending parts of four seasons with the club from 1992-95. A second-round pick of Seattle in 1987, Burba has appeared in 505 career games - including 234 starts - with the Mariners, Giants, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Texas and the Brewers, posting a 114-87 record with three saves and a 4.48 ERA. Habel, 23, was 4-10 with a 4.36 ERA in 27 games, including two relief appearances, with Class AA Norwich of the Eastern League. ( :blink: I'm scared :banghead )
