September 8, 200421 yr http://www.wildcattershockey.com/ PANTHERS SIGN AFFILIATION AGREEMENT WITH TEXAS WILDCATTERS Florida Panthers General Manager Mike Keenan announced that the club has entered into an affiliation agreement with the Texas Wildcatters of the East Coast Hockey League. The Wildcatters join the American Hockey League's San Antonio Rampage as official affiliates of the Panthers. "We are looking forward to a successful relationship with the Texas Wildcatters," Keenan said. "Their club will be in charge of working with some of the Panthers talented young players. We are confident that Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations Robert Dirk and his staff will do an excellent job developing our prospects and acclimating them to the world of professional hockey." "Having players assigned to the Wildcatters with AHL and NHL aspirations is an added bonus to the team that is already assembled," Dirk said. "We have been able to sign players this off-season who want to advance to the AHL and NHL, and this affiliation gives those players additional exposure to the Rampage and Panthers." Based in Beaumont about 300 miles east of San Antonio, the Wildcatters play in the American Conference, South Division and begin their second season in the ECHL on Oct. 22 against the Florida Everblades. http://www.floridapanthers.com/pressbox/ne...filiation.shtml
