September 28, 200422 yr Fiedler to start against Jets By Alex Marvez Sun-Sentinel.com Posted September 28 2004, 4:11 PM EDT The Dolphins will start Jay Fiedler at quarterback this week in place of A.J. Feeley on Sunday against the visiting New York Jets, two NFL sources said Tuesday. The reason for the change is unclear, but the Dolphins are in need of steadier performance at the position with Feeley throwing five interceptions in the 10 quarters he has played after replacing Fiedler at halftime of the season-opening loss to Tennessee. Fiedler, who has a 35-17 record as a starter since joining the Dolphins in 2000, held off a preseason challenge from Feeley but was yanked after throwing two interceptions in the first half against Tennessee. The Dolphins (0-3) enter Sunday's game with the NFL's 31st-ranked offense.
September 28, 200422 yr Lets hope Jay can get something started. At least he can move around and role out so the O line problem doesn't look nearly as bad
September 28, 200422 yr I dont see the point in this. Not like Fielder is going to be the future at QB and with this O-line were not going anywhere. Might as well leave Feeley in there. After all we did trade a 2nd round pick for him.
September 28, 200422 yr Well, Jay's beaten the jets before so I like this move. But I have a feeling Feeley will back as starter after a while.
September 28, 200422 yr At least Feidler can run away from the defensive lines that will pressure him consistently. I just hope that Feidler throws it to McMichael and Chambers like it's going out of style.
September 28, 200422 yr i really dont care about the move cause it doesnt matter who's the QB with that o-line,he's still gonna get the crap kicked out of him and our RB will go nowere...

September 28, 200422 yr they both suck ass. if starting every game helps AJ develop, i say we keep doing it. as far as i'm concerned, we won't be going anywhere this season anyway, so we might as well try to get some benefit out of this whole experience.
