At least Broward and Dade wont be in school in late june. :thumbup

St. Lucie County will be out at least one more week (they have yet to go to classes this school year.) Plenty of people that had no problem with Frances, were devastated by Jeanne as it mirrored Frances' path. My mother and my sister and her family all live in northern Martin County. My sister was without power for nearly two weeks after Frances, and she lost it again with Jeanne. There was also far more damage to her property after Jeanne than Frances.

Strangely enough, my mother lives in a little pocket of an area that only lost power for about 11 hours after Jeanne while everywhere around her for miles is dark (Frances knocked out her power for only 4 days.)

Judging how bad a storm was 100 miles north of here by whether or not you get days off from school is pretty moronic. Just shows you need as much school as you can possibly get.

Well said...

Its affected not effected...

Not much new damage from Jeanne....just a few branches and tiles on the roof.

Lost my pool enclosure with Francis though.....so there wasn't much left to lose by the time Jeanne showed up.

The winds did seem higher with Jeanne than Frances, as Jeanne was quite a bit louder here in western Lake Worth.
