The Hollywood Reporter published an article concerning WWE shopping around for a new cable distributer to air its 'RAW' program each Monday. Although the report indicated WWE's ongoing negotiations to remain on Spike TV, an "obligation" to shop for other networks was reported.

 

According to the Torch, Vince does reportedly hold Spike TV's low-profile status partially accountable for the low RAW ratings, however, RAW has done great past ratings on the network, meaning the low ratings are more likely an indication of viewer disinterest in WWE.

 

Networks involved in negotiations include FX, TNT, TBS and USA. PWI reports details that of the possible networks, only USA is likely, as the others have not shown significant interest in World Wrestling Entertainment. Spike TV will of course have the opportunity to match any offer provided by a competitor.

 

 

 

It would be such a slap in the face to Ted Turner if they went to TBS or TNT.

They should go back to USA. But TNT is also fine. :lol

I'm sure they're doing this to get leverage in negotiations, but I could see them moving back to USA. WWE programming doesn't really fit into TNT ("we know drama") or TBS ("very funny").

 

In the end, I think they'll stay on Spike.
