I like seeing people's reactions to different things. For example, like when I went to a Braves home game wearing a Marlins shirt. We got different reactions. For the most part, people were nice to us and treated us very well and asked if we are visiting from Miami yet there were some fools who were making fun of us. I am pretty sure if I walked around my college campus wearing a Bush/Cheney t-shirt, I'd get funny looks as well. The campus is mostly Liberal.
October 27, 200421 yr Well, I am one of those rare occurrences of a Kerry supporter wearing Kerry buttons wondering the streets of Miami. I have gotten dirty looks but that's about it. The reaction has been to my amazement extremely positive. My husband asked me not to put it on when I went out on the street by myself, fearing I would get mugged or something. Needless to say I disobeyed orders and wore the Kerry button to the mall. I wore it out of curiosity. I wanted to see what kind of reactions I would get, but most of all I wanted to see if there were others like me out there... Hidden in the shadows. To my surprise, aside from getting a couple of dirty looks, I got a lot of compliments on it and several people asked me where they could get one for themselves. So yeah... We are out there. :mischief

South Florida is heavily Republican because of the Cuban factor. Then you have Palm Beach County which usually leans Democratic, then you have North Florida where is very close to the heavily Republican States of Alabama and Georgia.
October 27, 200421 yr Virginia's kind of like that. You have the urban areas, Northern VA, Richmond and Norfolk, which are Democratic. And then there's the country and the suburbs around the military bases which lean right. We're really not THAT Republican up here.
