trying to destroy our front office? Dan Jennings is a great baseball mind. The Marlins are very lucky to have him. There are disagreements in every baseball front office, if everybody agree no ideas would come across the table. Maybe its "you"who won't stop calling the Mike Hills or Dan Jennings of the world trying to get a story, so you start this rumors about a leak, so it leads to mistrust among those in the organization. Why don't you write about other former Marlins having better careers now that there gone.

Yeah not really sure what he has against the Marlins but he never writes about the good things the Marlins do. Whatever.

If you don't know let me explain:

Up until the moment Torborg was fired Mike Berardino was the one baseball beat reporter in all of South Florida who supported the Fish. At the same time, the Herald and more specifically their sports editor, Richard Bush, one of America's worst examples of sports journalists ever to come down the pike, had conducted a jihad against the team, heaping insult and invective on the team on an almost daily basis.

So it came as a tremendous insult to Mike that when the story was about to break about the late night firings, the Marlins leadership chose to leak the story to the Herald (as some kind of peace offering) leaving Mike out in the cold.

Mike went out of his mind with anger and felt betrayed. The two (Berardino and the Marlins FO) have been at war ever since. Mike is hell bent on doing whatever he can to repay the insult in spades, the FO seems incapable of reaching an accord with the guy and so the feud continues.

Both sides are wrong. This should have been settled long ago but as time has gone on both sides have dug their heels as the battle continues. Both sides look bad and we the fans are the ones forced to suffer.
