November 2, 200422 yr Author how exactly are these numbers drawn up? 606522 Basically when people leave the polls, they are randomly pulled aside and asked who they are voted for. And they do this to a bunch of people, and they tabulate it up. These don' account for absentee or early voting, just today, so they are not overly accurate, but in a society that loves up to the minute numbers this is how you get them.
November 2, 200422 yr Ugh..I think Im gonna puke from the nervousness. 606528 already did. :o
November 2, 200422 yr But early sample was based on a 59- 41 women to men ratio. 606530 How is that possible? I suppose if men go between the hours of 5-7 then that would be accurate. Thats not good. :plain

The national polls have been showing women have been stronger for Bush and men stronger for Kerry. So... you could say with it 59-41 women, and Kerry is winning..... then Kerry will win in a land slide because a lot of women have flipped sides.

Going with the "men vote after work theory," Bush should have finished Gore off. But you are right, the gender gap has narrowed but I think men still favor Bush and women Kerry though right?

November 2, 200422 yr I trust these more... http://slate.msn.com/id/2109053/ Those other numbers are pretty whacky. Things look VERY tight. Sligthly good news for Kerry supporters.

But just in case those polls are wrong, I imagine there are a lot of women who work 9-5 also. I wonder what the distribution is on 9-5 workers. Im starting to think its not that large proportionally in terms of men. Maybe in 50/50. Women also vote more than men. Plus the women who work 9-5 I think go strongly Kerry and a lot of security moms have probably voted. Im still nervous as hell.
