November 25, 200421 yr I know I could have just e-mailed you, BUT I thought people around here would like to read an answer to this question....IF you know this of course, Do the minority partners of the Fish, the Canadians now with the lawsuits over and behind all us. Do they plan on selling there pieces of the team or get more involved($$$). I've heard different theories, just want to know if you've heard anything.
November 27, 200421 yr I don't "know" but my assumption is, either as a group or individually the (Canadian) minority partners will sell off their share(s) rather than ponying up more money to increase their ownership percentage. That's the last thing I would imagine any of them will ever do. I do expect that Loria will make them an offer, buy them out, and then package around 20-39% of the team to a willing (probably local) buyer. The most important aspect of settling the suit (or more specifically the finding by the arbitration panel) was it removes the fear of an encumberance on the franchise that could been as high as $225 million.
