Even thought the Phillies are in the same division, do you think we could work out a deal involving Ryan Howard coming to us via a three team trade? Apparently he wants out according to rotoworld.com...

Ryan Howard isn't making any demands, but he hopes the Phillies will trade him to a team that will allow him to play.

Howard is already 25, so another year in the minors probably isn't going to help his stock any. Unfortunately for him, the Phillies have already fulfilled their major needs for 2005. They aren't likely to upgrade over Kenny Lofton and Cory Lidle now.

Ed Wade would rather walk in front of a bus than help the Marlins.

Thats why there would be a third team who would flip him to us.

I talked about this in another thread, but from the result I received it doesn't sound like an attractive option.

Plus, Ed Wade can't be that stupid to trade with the Marlins.

He certainly has been stupid enough to not win the division with becoming the Yankees of the NL East.
