I'm not sure if you mean a place, or a dish. As I said, there are a number of places that serve some variety of it, mainly smaller places that cater largely to tourists. A lot of establishments that run airboat tours and have small restaurants are usually some of the easier places to find it, but I remember getting it served as an appetizer at The Crab House a few years ago. Appetizers are mainly little chunks on meat that are floured/breaded and usually deep fried. Burgers are the most common preparation. If you prefer chowder, you can get it with gator (have actually seen this in a can on store shelves.) Steaks can be very good, but I think the best one is a fillet sliced nice and thin, similar to venison. Short saute with butter, garlic, and onions..........mmmmmm! :homer If interested, you can order steaks and such from places like CajjunGrocer, or Exoticmeats.com. You can also find recipes at places such as alligatorfur.com Hope that answers your question a little bit.
December 29, 200421 yr A good variation on beef, buffalo meat. Delicious! As for me, I like either, but am currently in the mood for a hamburger.
