January 12, 200521 yr Shortly before Christmas, the government recalled and closed their investigation of Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq, according to a new report. Full article below. WMD Hunt Ends
January 13, 200521 yr Author News reports have estimated that the actual search cost $600 million, although the exact figure has been classified. Of course, the cost of the full war in Iraq is many times higher than that figure.
January 13, 200521 yr I'm still sceptical.? Nobody thought Albania had any WMD, yet a bunch were discovered just recently...and its been quite a while since that loon Enver Hoxa was deposed. http://www.washtimes.com/upi-breaking/2005...81114-7509r.htm This is likely a scheme to give Iraq a "clean" bill of health with the UN in anticipation of international normalization after the elections so they won't be under the yoke of any sort of international sanctions right from the start. 653862 You'd feel like a sheep otherwise. Like maybe you were taken for the proverbial ride. Welcome to the reality-based community my friend.
January 13, 200521 yr Author Last time I checked, we were there for over two years, with a large force searching for the weapons.
January 13, 200521 yr Author Except that somebody would have known where they were, and we managed to capture a good majority of the scientists and high-ranking members of Saddam's regime. If they had indeed existed, somebody would have given up that secret during the past two years. The fact is, there was just no concrete evidence that warranted invading the country. None.
January 13, 200521 yr http://www.thepoorman.net/archives/003654.html Great blog post that summarizes tonyi's and many other repub's fascination with one set of lies and forgeries while patently defending another. Quite a learning experience about your motive and idea of "accountability."
January 13, 200521 yr http://www.thepoorman.net/archives/003654.html Great blog post that summarizes tonyi's and many other repub's fascination with one set of lies and forgeries while patently defending another.? Quite a learning experience about your motive and idea of "accountability." 654693 I defend nothing except the possibility that something else exists. Anyone who is intellectually honest enough appreciate the vastness of Iraq has to admit a possibility still exists. You can argue about the magnitude of the possibility, but to deny it exists is being intellectually dishonest. Indeed sarin was found in that roadside IED. WMD were in Iraq. QED. You can argue about quantity from now until the cows come home, but you can't argue about presense. All it takes is a single example of something to prove existence. 654794 Your intellectually honest and open to nuance when it serves your purpose. Of course this isn't a black and white issue for you here because you have so much riding on it.
