U.S. planning for possible attack on Iran?

Since when did the comment "not sure" mean that I was discounting what he said about the concrete. You're a friggin' moonbat. Then again, I guess I could adopt your policy of avoiding admitting errors and just fabricating opinions and passing them off as facts.

A bunch of steel without concrete isn't terribly useful unless you plan on running railroad track around the world or something.

Your analytical powers seem impaired.

Since when did cars start coming with concrete? I guess those can't be made without concrete.

Their auto manufacture has been going on for a while. The large civil engineering projects are new. :plain

The new plants by Ford, GM, and DaimlerChrysler don't need steel I guess.

Fritz, I wouldn't worry about your lack of knowledge here because tonyi has all day to keep track of it.

Not until they're cranking. They will use a lot of concrete and rebar to build'em though. Hard to build a car out in an open field.

It's just as hard to build a car out of mud, hopes, and dreams.

You've said yourself that you live off the family munitions company, which makes perfect sense seeing how your an arm-chair general.

Add tremendous ego to things I find appalling about the arm-chair genius known as tonyi. Seems I'm starting to hit some nerves due to the offensive nature of your posting towards me. Perhaps even some truth?

Ah, that brings up an interesting question. How much of our actions/thoughts/beliefs do we control? Is free will an illusion? Does freedom truly exist? And, if so, in what forms? Or does determinism more accurately explain things?

I launched my blitzkrieg tonyi attack in response to your constant attacks against most anyone not in line with your own beliefs. In hindsight I was wrong, but sometimes your ego can be a bit overbearing.

"Does your world view dictate that you attack things not in line with it?"

Ideally not, and I do struggle with this for it is only human to think you are correct while others are morons.

As the Merovingian said, "There is no free will, only cause."

God.

What sort of army, navy, air force does Iran possess?? How do they rate militarily?

They're formidable. The 3 Kilo subs and anti-ship missiles are their real ace in the hole that would make us take pause. We can't risk having the Iranians make the straight of Hormuz a unnavigable scrapyard.

Operating within the gulf, the kilos can get a lot of shore AA support to keep things like our P-3 Orion's out of the area.

Going head to head with the Iranians on their own turf would be messy.

So this aint going to be like Iraq war II if we go in, however we have the capability to do so unlike MSM reportage, correct?

Any strike against Iranian nukes would be a mistake in my opinion unless of course there is imminent threat. They are about as likely to use their nukes as Sadaam (scoff) was to use his "weapons." Continued, and possibly upscaled support of the opposition is the best option right now. But then again, I'm clueless in these matters.

We use psychological profiles to determine whether or not these people will fire, do we not? Deterrance has worked for how long now? So, the argument would have to be made that these people are so crazy that they will fire (against Israel) anyway, knowing that their country will be annihilated as a result. Again, I'm no expert here, so I can't just say "they won't do it," but is it even more dangerous to make precision strikes and risk missing one?

mmm. Suitcase in Times Square. Again, though, doesn't the destruction of their country prevent any stupidity like this? Or does this shadow terrorist cell hide specific blame, keeping us from nuking back?

In all honesty, would a strike on Israel really do much? All it means is they launch nukes back at the rest of the Middle East and kick everyone's ass hardcore. Also, those nukes would definitely take out a bunch of terrorists.

How do you know who sent the nuke? There's not a lot left in the way of forensic evidence to identify it unless its a real lousy quality one that fizzles and leaves some remains.

Chances are it won't fizzle though. In all the US fission device testing, I believe I read there was only one fizzle.

Would you advertise that you sent the nuke?

Yes, that was the rhetorical question I asked. There is grey area here.
